In the field of sustainable construction materials, production eco-friendly concretes, obtained by addition waste products such as biochar and recycled polymer particles, offers interesting alternatives to traditional materials. Biochar is a carbonaceous solid by-product from thermo-chemical conversion biomass its into concrete admixtures can offer an carbon sequestration solution, capable slightly improve properties. Recycled materials be used partially replace conventional aggregates with aim obtaining lighter concretes that help face disposal challenge presented this non-degradable plastic waste. However, influence these additions on corrosion behavior steel rebars embedded in “eco-concretes” still unexplored. Within context, work presents some results extensive study dealing mechanical physical properties rebar resistance during cyclic exposures chloride-containing solutions.
